I'm actually at a lack of words at this moment and may need to revise my review. I have heard awesome things about this series and I will truely stay the course, I just felt this book was a little boring, especially in the begining. I felt like I was sitting in a paranormal history class, lol and that I should get my notebook out and start taking notes and preparing for a fae hunter 101 quiz. The book did get better as I went on and there actually was a little action in the end.
Mac was annoying in the begining but I appreciated that so when she turned into a badass I could appreciate where she had come from and how much she had grown. I never have really felt a connection with Barrons yet. I'm hoping that is just because he has been keeping himself locked up with secrets. I have no words for V'lane, walking sex, I guess. He scared me because she had no control over herself or her clothes. Sometimes, I felt Mac had no regards to her own safety. She had just found out all these secrets and she never once took into consideration that she was in very big danger.
I look forward to the rest of the series, I just hope that since this one left off in the action, the next picks up and continues on and the history lessons and inner monologue stay more minimum. I also can't wait to get to know Barrons more and get a better connection.
